First let's start with the basics. A pure and rich vanilla frozen yogurt.

How to Make Frozen Yogurt: A Basic Recipe

Use good quality whole milk yogurt such as Stonyfield Organic. Use the vanilla extract in this recipe if you want vanilla frozen yogurt. homemade-frozen-yogurt Ingredients:
3 cups strained yogurt or Greek-style yogurt (use Fage 0% if you want zero fat like Pinkberry's recipe)
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Directions:
Mix together the yogurt, sugar, and vanilla (if using). Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Freeze in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
