Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie Recipes

Whirl up the berries with yogurt and fresh orange juice to create this creamy, refreshing smoothie that's high in vitamin C. It makes a fast and healthy breakfast shake or a delicious low-calorie snack-in-a-glass, any time of the day.

Strawberries are not only naturally sweet and delicious but also an excellent source of vitamin C. Ounce for ounce, strawberries provide more vitamin C than fresh oranges. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps protect against cancer, may slow the aging process, and helps maintain the immune system.

Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 quart (4 cups) ripe strawberries
  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste
  • Garnish (optional)
  • 4 small strawberries with leaves
  • 4 thin round slices of unpeeled orange
  • Directions:
  • Rinse and drain the strawberries and place them in a food processor or blender. Add the yogurt, orange juice, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Process on the highest speed until a well-blended puree forms, about 15 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides of the container once or twice. Taste the mixture and sweeten with a little more sugar, if you wish.
  • For a very smooth beverage, strain the mixture, using a wooden spoon to push the drink through. Discard the strawberry seeds.
  • Pour into 4 tall glasses and serve immediately. If you wish to decorate the drinks, slit the strawberries and the orange slices halfway through the centers. Attach one berry and one orange slice to the rim of each glass.


Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie with Honey

  • Ingredients:
  • 1-1/2 cups crushed ice
  • 2 cups washed and cored strawberries
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Directions:
  • Combine all ingredients in blender and blend on low 2 minutes.


Strawberry Banana Yogurt Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
  • 6 Strawberries
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 cups orange Juice
  • 3 cups of ice
  • Directions:
  • Put all ingredients in the Vita-Mix
  • Start the Vita-Mix up slow and crank it up to high.
  • Serve


Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup whole frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup strawberry yogurt
  • 3/4 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
  • graham cracker crumbs for topping
  • fresh strawberries for garnish
  • Directions:
  • Place strawberries, milk, cream cheese, strawberry yogurt and vanilla frozen yogurt in blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour mixure into 4 glasses.
  • Sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries.


Strawberry Peach Yogurt Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 8oz canned peach slices,drained
  • 2 fresh apricots chopped
  • 12-14 fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 bananas,sliced and frozen
  • Directions:
  • Pour the milk into a food processor. Add the peach slices and process gently until combined. Add the apricots and process gently until combined.
  • Add the strawberries and banana slices and process until smooth. Pour the mixture into glasses and decorate the rims with slices of fresh strawberries.

Cranberry Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup strawberry yogurt
  • 1/4 cup strawberry nectar
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1-1/2 cups fresh strawberries
  • Directions:
  • Place all ingredients in a blender.
  • Cover and blend until smooth.


Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie with Coconut

  • Ingredients:
  • frozen strawberries or 10-12 ice cubes
  • 1 (13.5 oz. ) can of coconut milk
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 TBSP. flax seed (optional)
  • 1 teasp. vanilla
  • 1/4 teasp. almond extract
  • 1/4 teasp. sugar or stevia
  • 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
  • Directions:
  • Place all ingredients in the blender
  • process at high speed until well blended
  • you may want to use more ice
  • if you are using protein powder the extra frozen strawberries instead of the ice cubes, make it taste better.
