Most of these yogurt recipes use plain whole milk yogurt. I am not a fan of nonfat yogurt, it is more sour than low fat or plain yogurt.
I usually cook with plain whole milk yogurt. Our homemade yogurt is almost always made with whole milk because I have young children (little ones should have whole milk).
If you want to substitute a reduced fat yogurt in these recipes you can, but I don't recommend using a non fat yogurt at all.

You also avoid all the perservatives, refined sweeteners, stabilizers, artificial flavors and colors that are most in commericial dressings. Most importantly yogurt salad dressings are delicious. You'll enjoy so many more salads.
Using yogurt can help you can bake light and fluffy whole grain products that have added nutritional value and are easier to digest.
